Generations of Flavor: A Family's Journey Through the Midway!

For more than half a century, you may know Campi’s as a mobile pizzeria coming to a county fair near you. You may know us for our bustling kitchen on the pier in Dunkirk, NY. You may know our roots. If you don’t this is for you.

Our pizza is a delicious legacy, crafted from time-honored family recipes passed down through generations. It all began with Loretto and Mary Jane Campese, who had a large family of 13 children to feed. They found a way to do so by sharing their culinary passion with others. In the 1960s, they founded their first concession stand, which eventually grew into the renowned Campi's Pizza.

Over the decades, their Sicilian-style pizza, with its unique braided crust, became famous across Western New York and beyond. As they traveled to various fairs and festivals, people from all over the East Coast were captivated by the irresistible taste and distinctive crust. From county fairs in Pennsylvania to the Canadian border, and state fairs in Georgia, North Carolina, and Delaware, the Campese family shared their love of food with the masses.

Today, we proudly carry on this tradition, bringing the same delicious pizza to our customers, with a taste that transcends borders and time.

You can still find some of them on a midway near you today. For our hometown of Dunkirk, NY we’re open throughout the Summer season on the picturesque shores of Lake Erie on the Dunkirk Boardwalk. Stop in and you’re likely to find brothers in the kitchen and a generation or two of Campeses shooting the breeze with old friends in front of the shop. Our story is full of pizza. But it’s so much more. It’s full of family, and friends, and community. Stop by and we’ll feed you. After all, you’re part of the story too.
